Many of us are interested in where we, our families, come from and who our ancestors were.

​I have been doing genealogical research for a little over 40 years, it is my hobby and my passion. I have paid memberships with several ancestral websites and secure remote access with several circuit courts within the state of Virginia.  I have researched family histories for many people and also helped adoptees find their biological families through DNA matches.

 

While genealogical websites are a great tool for researching census, birth, and death records, and analyzing DNA results, they have become too commercialized, leading some to think compiling a family history is quick and easy. It is not, it can literally take years to compile a family history, it all depends on how many generations you go back and how much information you compile for each ancestor.
